Subfertility affects many couples and can result from a range of factors involving ovulation, the fallopian tubes, the uterus, endometriosis, fibroids, male factor infertility, or sometimes no identifiable cause. A thorough assessment is often required to understand the factors affecting fertility and to develop an individualised treatment plan.

Dr. Caroline Mathias takes a comprehensive approach to fertility evaluation, including assessment of ovulation, ovarian reserve, tubal patency, uterine anatomy, and management of conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, and caesarean scar niches that may impact fertility or implantation.

Where appropriate, Dr. Mathias offers fertility-enhancing surgical management, including treatment of endometriosis, myomectomy (fibroid removal), caesarean scar niche repair, and hysteroscopic procedures to remove polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or other abnormalities within the uterine cavity. She also provides ovulation induction for selected patients and works closely with fertility specialists to ensure coordinated care when assisted reproductive treatments such as IVF are required.
