World Endometriosis Society Congress – Sydney 2025
The 2025 World Endometriosis Society (WES) Congress was particularly special, marking the first time since the Society's inception in 1986 that the meeting was held in Sydney. Welcoming more than 1,000 delegates from around the world, the four-day congress brought together leading clinicians, surgeons and researchers to share the latest advances in endometriosis research, imaging, surgery and multidisciplinary care.
A personal highlight was participating in the World Endometriosis Research Foundation (WERF) Consortium Meeting alongside Professor George Condous and Dr Matthew Leonardi. It was a privilege to contribute to discussions surrounding international collaboration and to share the early vision of our Delphi consensus study, which aims to standardise the imaging and reporting of endometriosis worldwide.
Perhaps the greatest takeaway was seeing just how far the field of endometriosis has come. Bringing together experts from every corner of the world served as a powerful reminder that, despite different backgrounds and healthcare systems, we all share the same goal—to deepen our understanding of endometriosis, improve the evidence that guides our practice, and ultimately enhance the lives of the women we care for.
