From Novelty to Necessity – Speaking at the AGES ASM Conference 2026

It was a tremendous privilege and honour to be invited to speak at the 2026 AGES Annual Scientific Meeting in Auckland. I was invited to present on "Public Robotics in Gynaecology: From Novelty to Necessity," a topic I am deeply passionate about as robotic surgery continues to evolve within the Australian public healthcare system.

The presentation explored the sustainability and feasibility of public robotic programs, including economic models, service delivery and the future of equitable access to robotic surgery. The engaging discussions that followed reflected the growing interest in this field and reinforced my belief that the seamless integration of robotics in public gynaecology is no longer a question of if, but when.

Equally rewarding was the opportunity to share the stage with some of the world's leaders in surgical innovation, including Dr Cara King, Dr Guru Shankar, Dr Akwasi Amoako and Dr Jacqueline Wong. Their insights, vision and commitment to advancing women's healthcare made the meeting an inspiring experience, and I look forward to contributing to this exciting journey as robotic gynaecology continues to evolve.
